A very rare piece of American history. Very few original buffalo skinning outfits have survived. I say original because most of the rigs I have seen are more recent & then artificially aged. I money back guarantee this is original. it has some great skinning knives& the wood is almost petrified looking. I would date this 1865-1875. it is made out of a half of a log& is covered in leather. the leather is old and dry & cracked& the knives peek through. it probably had a shoulder strap at one time but this is missing, it has a hole for a sharpener but this is also missing. I have seen other set with 2 or3 knives that are very questionable sell for $3000.00 t0 $3500.00 this is a bargain.     $2500.00

For all you old west buckaroos, here we have a great old west saddle. most so called old west saddles are anywhere from the 1950,s to the 1920,s at best. By that time the Indians were building casino's. this is a beauty, S.GALLUP, pueblo Colorado marked saddle circa 1885. It has the coop seat and the Cheyenne back roll. the saddle is in excellent plus condition. I comes with a Navajo weaved horse blanket which also dates pre-1900. a beautiful old rig.

A great piece of history from the last gold rush. A coin operated Fortuna disc music box circa 1895-1905. It came out of one of the many brothels in the Fairbanks area around the turn of the century. It came out of the estate of a Mr. Hobart Hyatt, a long time Alaska collector. Mr. Hyatt was born in 1920 and died in 1999. Mr. Hyatt traveled all over the state of Alaska as a surveyor of homesteads, town sites, and native claims until his retirement  in 1975. Many pieces of his collection have been purchased by museums and private collections. Fantastic sound with 6 original discs. Very few authentic pieces of the gold rush still exist.

This has nothing to do with guns or buffalo's, but I thought it was really cool so I bought it. A Columbian Wooly Mammoth leg bone. The Columbian  was the largest of all the wooly mammoths. This one was found on the Nebraska / Wyoming border. A great conversation piece.
