A Colt Lightning with some history. this gun belonged to a Sheriff Bill Salsman of Old Linn Creek, MO. On the original holster is a very old tag which you can make out the date 1898- 1902 I have checked with the county & the Salman's were quite prominent there. one was sheriff from 1877 to 1882. another was sheriff from 1914 until 1918. the court house said he was probably a deputy sheriff. I will continue to research this gun. the gun is in very fine condition with literally all the blue & case hardening all though the case is faded.

$3,150.00

If you like guns with a history this is it. Normally i feature guns that are condition guns but this one talked to me. This old peacemaker walked into a show in S. dakota about 3 yrs ago in a cardboard box. It is a low serial # 15xxx 73 colt saa that comes with a old holster, web belt, bowie knife, & a picture of the man who owned its hangeing. On the back of the photo is his name. I think it is john little who was hung for the murder of the pike or pyle family, kind of hard to read. The gun has either bunk house or indian carved grips. I tend to think it is Indian. The metal in the barrel has blood pitting, The action is weak but fixable. The grips have  been on the gun forever. The holster appears to be an old military holster cut down. The knife is an unmarked bowie type knife, probably bought from a sutler or hardware store. The belt is a 1870,s type web belt .45 caliber. If you want a gun to display that has definatly been there, this it. A GREAT DISPLAY PIECE FOR YOUR GUNROOM.

INVESTMENT GRADE CASED COLT FACTORY ENGRAVED.1849 pocket model 5 shot. GUSTAVE YOUNG ENGRAVED 1852.  This is a very scarce firearm in the fact it is FINISHED IN FULL NICKEL. The book of colt states this is sometimes encountered but these finishes are scarce Ser# 52xxx is exquisitely engaved with a high level of coverage& the engraved hammer. The gun retains 90-95 % of the original nickel finish, mostly ansent from the grip area, which is now a pleasent brass patina. It has the scarce SAM,L COLT on the barrel instead of an address. This is quite scarce in itself. The grips are varnished select walnut and are in mint condition. The cylinde scene is 100%  visible & sharp as new. The case is a dealer supplied case. Comes with original colt flask & brass bullet mold, as is found on the earliest colts, plus original tin of percussion caps. This is an out standing opportunity for the collector of fine colts.

$11,500.00

Unmarked Unwin & Rogers knife pistol. Far above average condition. the handles are perfect [ no knicks or chips]The small blade on this is different than you usually see, more of a clip point than the usual spear point, they only made this variation for 1 year.It still has the original tweezers & nipple pick which slide into the back of the handles. These guns in good condition are becoming rather hard to find.

$2,500.00

A VERY DISIRABLE & SUPERIOR COLT 1872  OPEN TOP. 44 cal rimfire.    Most open tops you see are in rather rough condition as they were very hard used. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST OPEN TOPS I HAVE SEEN IN QUITE A WHILE. It retaines 90- 95 % bright original nickel finish. What you almost never see is any visible cylinder scene. This one has 100%  sharp cylinder scene. The bore is excellent. the grips are good .The action is as tight as new. All  markings are as clear as the day they were born. The marking on the cylinder  ENGAGED 16 MAY 1843 IS CLEAR AS CAN BE. Some of the screws still retain the original fire blue & the hammes has almost all of the case hardining though fading. A very superior condition colt open top.

$15,000.00

A very fine S.A. army in 7.5in. barrel.  desirable .45 cal. this  gun is beautifully engraved in the New York style with a fantastic set of Mexican eagle ivory grips. eagles on both sides of grip. ser# 93xxx shipped to J.P. Moore New York in 1883. very fine bore. The action is as new.   I strongly believe this gun was silver plated. the in side of the loading gate is pitch black which silver does. Also there are traces of god wash on the hammer. this is very high grade period engraving. a beauty of a old west pistol.

Temporarily removed pending research of new information just recieved.

A very fine 1873 S.A.A. etched panel. 44-40 serial # 101xxx shipped in 1885. this is a partially refinished gun. the etched panel has been refreshed& the trigger guard re-blued. I believe the case hardening is original or a very old redo. the stag grips are very old & I am sure they were put on by the dealer. If this was in this original condition it would be a $15000.00 plus gun. The action is tight good bore, beautiful grips.

$4,850.00

2nd model colt derringer. the favorite of ho's, hose bags, scum bags, & douche bags & a occasional nice guy like yourself. now this gun is totally devoid of serial #'s or colt markings. however I guarantee it is a colt. why the markings were removed remains a mystery. the neat part is that it was gold washed & still retains at least 80% of the very old gold wash. perfect  action. ex Herb Ratner collection.
