Real Indian beadwork & artifacts are quickly disappearing from the market. there are a glut of recent & downright bogus things out there right now. Here we have a Blackfoot beautifully beaded vest 1880-1900. the ling is made of shantung-a fabric used for lining men's shirts & women's blouse during this time period.& is not being made today. The edging is old military braid (TIGHT WEAVE) the red backing is coat lining material. It has a machine sewn inside pocket which  is typical of this period.  the red backing is shredding & I could had it professionally restored but I don't like to do that. as always I guarantee this as original or your money back.
